Mike Portnoy is a legendary drummer and modern by Sept. 8, 2010, the former drummer of Dream Theater. The beautiful city of Seattle was the storm of players, geeks, freaks and entrepreneurs during the Labor Day weekend hit. This was my first PAX gaming convention and certainly not disappointed. My picture says it all - a swirl of people demonstrating games, hardware and in competition with others.

People Watching

Thousands of people flocked to Seattle Convention Center. Friday was not much going on, but Saturday was crazy!I've been to all the mothers who brought their infants and children surprised. E 'was great to see how they are very excited about a variety of games. Kinect stations were very popular not only with women! I have seen many men work in dance and stand Kinect.

The Myth of the Girl Gamer

In addition to fantastic performances and competitions, PAX is on several sessions. I attended the session entitled "The Myth of the Girl Gamer - True or anthropological demographic HooHa"The speakers were great fun, and posed questions to each other on the whole concept of girls playing. The speakers are experts in their field and have been estimated very smart and intelligent! The stereotype that men play only old and archaic. As men and women who attended the meeting seemed to know that a participant was to the point that almost ridiculous to separate women from men in the game. I agree with this as it is obvious to me that the public was withPAX was collected from at least 50% of women. Women are a major target for marketing and game developers. Overall, the conference is a great place for women and men who think they meet.

Drum Skulls

A lot of small indie game booths that surround the main areas. One game was particularly sweet. Not so much the game itself, but the people who built the stand.

I came to this state and stood there and watched people play on the drum set, very similar to rockBand. Instead of making music, even if the drum action kills the zombies. The children, the marketing of the game were very enthusiastic and attentive to all those who participated. I heard one of the boys say to another: "This is the happiest day of my life!" Warms my heart to hear that they were doing something he loved and that was a dream come true for his support in their game at PAX. One of the guys (OK, I say children, but these guys were probably in their late teens and early 20's) very politely told me aboutthe game and would like to try it. They had really cool t-shirts to give away a pair for just trying the game, I sat down to the pad. The zombies have their own color and that they should kill the appropriate color to beat on the drums. I see kids really get into this, but it was fun for me! I finished my demo and then went to the young men had a T-shirt for me. The pure innocence of the men running this booth was very sweet.

Aboutan hour later, my party had planned a meeting with 5 people Civ. It 'was a show limited, so I decided to go sight seeing around PAX. A bathroom break he called me, so I found the toilet. When I went through the hall to the bathroom, I saw the guy from the drum head as if to give me his shirt. I smiled and continued on my way. Born in San Antonio, Texas, Bobby Jarzombek grew up in an extraordinary family around music. He started at age 10 when his mother bought him a cheap battery from Sears for a Christmas gift. Shortly after taking up the drum set, he started playing with his brothers Ralph and Ronnie. With
At that time he was a high school that had already taken the club scene, frequently played local shows.

The year after his last recording with Halford, he was asked to take over from Richard Christy duties with the band Iced Earth drum. They were in the midst of a U.S. tour, which was in support of new album"The Glorious Burden." He toured with them, and then the following year decided to help further the recording of his album "The Crimson King." Iced Earth has been put on hold for the next few years, but in the meantime it would be with Sebastian Bach (ex Skid Row singer) tour with Guns N 'Roses. He continued to play with Sebastian Bach for a few years.

In 2007, Bobby was playing with Fates Warning at the Festival of Evolution and also for them during their European tour, which filledIn the same year. In September 2009 he played with them too. Ok, well, here is my INTERPRETATION of this fairly epic medley of songs from Genesis. I do not claim to be playing note for note; just trying to get the basic patterns and feel across for the various different sections of this 20 minute track. I had to split this somewhere, for the purposes of fitting onto YouTube, and chose to go at the halfway point. Unfortunately, this means a split just after the hectic Firth Of Fifth intro, which is a shame -- sorry. The alternative was to split this in three, and I did not want to do that. I had a big problem with my headphones just before recording this. They broke. This meant I had to drum to the music without phones, which has resulted (a) in a poor sound mix (b) music being too quiet and (c) I lose track of things at times, 'cos I cannot hear a fucking thing. Apologies for this. I think I am going to re-record at least Firth Of Fifth awkward intro, and upload that, just show how I would have liked it to come out. I have heard that a lot of Genesis fans hate this 1992 Medley from the We Can't Dance Tour.
